Alvida Maah e Ramzan 2009

So, Ramdan will either end today or tomorrow. This ramdan was by far the best ramdan I spent as practicing Islam (I think so, rest may Allah accpet my prayers and answer my supplications). Though there were some sins I commit too (*embarrased and ashamed*) during even fasting but still this ramdan ranked top among all ramdan. The best thing that I did this ramdan was that I tried really hard to offer five time prayers on time and alhamdulillah I can count that there were only three prayers that I missed (two Asars and one Isha). Like most of us, the reason was sleeping at the time of namaz =$. Secondly, I went for taraweeh though not much regular but surely the count of my attendance is more than my absence. Thirdly I started reading tafseer. Though this thought of reading Quran with tafseer was quite late (in last ten days of
ramdan yet they say its never too late than never or in persian دیر آید درست آید ). This thought pass by my mind when while reading even with urdu translation I couldnt grasp the complete idea most of the time. I truly agree with Maududi's line in start of Tafheem-ul-Quran (In section of Deebacha دیباچہ /Preface) that while reading quran even with translation cant help one much to feel the real soul of His words though it sounds blasphemous yet I agree to his point that while reading sometimes due to randomness and lask of knowledge of context; one might wonders that were these ayahs used by Allah and His prophet as a challenge Non-believers to make a single Surat (chapter of Quran) like this. Before that I was also reading it with urdu translation but believe me they appear to be quite random if you dont know the context plus even if you know context somehow you further need explanation as well. So while going through, following are the bestest of the best lines of the bestest book of universe. (Though all are not quranic verse some ahadith too which are mostly outsource from my uni alumni mailing group and the one who shares it got them from here )

* "......and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know." [Surah Baqrah: 216] (I found it more beautiful though its incomplete; following is the complete verse)
Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know

* "When Allah created the Creation, He wrote in His Book--and He wrote (that) about Himself, and it is placed with Him on the Throne-- 'Verily My Mercy overcomes My Anger.' " [Sahih al-Bukhari Volume 9, Book 93, Number 501]

* Everything in the universe is 'Muslim' for it obeys God by submission to His laws. The only exception to this universe of Muslims were human beings who failed to follow Islam. Abul-ala-Maududi

* And wish not for the things in which Allah has made some of you to excel others. For men there is reward for what they have earned, (and likewise) for women there is reward for what they have earned, and ask Allah of His Bounty. Surely, Allah is Ever All-Knower of everything [An-Nisa: 32]

* Truly man was created, very impatient― Fretful when evil touches him; And niggardly when good reaches him― Not so those devoted to Prayer― Those who remain steadfast to their prayer; And those in whose wealth is a recognised right [Al-Maarij:19-24]

* “You find that among the worst people is someone who is two-faced, showing one face to some and another face to others.” [Bukhari]

* Whenever We bless the human being with mercy from Us, then remove it, he turns despondent, unappreciative. Whenever We bless him, after adversity had afflicted him, he says, "All adversity has gone away from me;" he becomes excited, proud. [Surah Hood: 9,10]

* “He is successful who has accepted Islam, who has been provided with sufficient for his wants and been made contented by Allah with what He has given him.” [Muslim]

* “If somebody reproaches you and makes you feel ashamed of any of your defects, do not make him feel ashamed of any of his defects.” [Abu Daud]

* All of my ummah are apt to be forgiven, except for those who commit sins openly.” [Bukhari]

* “Strange are the ways of a believer for there is good in every affair of his, and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer: For if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (Allah), thus there is good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shows resignation (enduring it patiently), there is good for him in it.” [Muslim]

* “When one of you looks at one who stands at a higher level than you in regard to wealth and physical structure he should also see one who stands at a lower level than you in regard to these things.” [Muslim]

* “True strength is not the ability to never be knocked down by anybody; but to be able to control one’s anger, especially when a person has the ability to act on it.” [Muslim]

* And man prays for evil like the way he seeks goodness; and man is very hasty [b/Israel 17:11]

Contrary to the audios available on Dars-e-Quran website, I am quoting this line in end.

اور الله کہتا ہے یاد کرنے کے لئے آسان ، پڑھنے کے لئے آسان ، سمجھنے کے لئے آسان

And Allah says its easy to learn, easy to understand and easy to read.

Happy Eid (:

P.S: Off the topic, Life is sooooo unpredicatble (:
